Dundee FC manager Tony Docherty spoke to reporters ahead of his team’s Scottish Premiership fixture against Aberdeen scheduled for Saturday. He provided the following statements: Regarding Julien Vetro, who was hospitalized after collapsing in the dressing room immediately prior to last weekend’s match against Kilmarnock, Docherty stated that Vetro “is still with the medics at the moment.” He added that “They are still monitoring exactly what happened.” Docherty further commented that the team’s recovery in the game against Killie felt like “a really big win for a whole host of reasons.” Docherty acknowledged that Aberdeen merits significant praise for their achievements this season. However, he affirmed that his team would be heading to Pittodrie feeling confident, referencing their robust display against the Dons at Dens Park earlier in the season and concluding that “we are in a good place.” Addressing the recent approval by Dundee City Council of plans for a new football training centre and community hub within the city, which the club intends to utilize, the manager described it as “massive for the football club” and indicative that “the club is going in a positive direction.” Trevor Carson and Scott Fraser are still unavailable, but Docherty expressed optimism that they would rejoin the squad following the international break.
