Following the draw, Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner shared his thoughts with BBC Match of the Day: “[The equaliser] was so deserved. We are a little bit disappointed because we would have deserved the win today. Keeping Newcastle on one shot – it was an unbelievable performance.“ Glasner stated, “We have to blame ourselves that we didn’t take those chances. With Newcastle’s pace in attack, you always have to take care that you don’t get [hit on] transition situations. Everyone deserved the equaliser.“ The manager conveyed his sentiment that the team warrants more this season, explaining, “We feel we deserve a bit more [this season]. It’s not that we miss [chances] because we are arrogant, it’s about how we deal with it.” He also highlighted, “What gives me a lot of confidence is the character of the players here at Crystal Palace. ” Despite the current challenges, Glasner maintained an optimistic outlook, stating, “It’s frustrating but, on the other side, we know we will come through it together. The way we are playing is improving game-by-game and then the results will come.” Regarding goalscorer Daniel Munoz, Glasner commented, “I told him that he should take the ball home because he could have had a hat-trick. The most difficult one he scored, but it shows his character.” Post navigation West Northamptonshire Council Invites Frank Bruno Boxing Academy to Apply for New Premises Scotland Manager Steve Clarke Reflects on Poland Match Outcome
