Crusaders Secure 2-1 Victory Over Coleraine in Irish Premiership

Crusaders secured a 2-1 victory against Coleraine at The Showgrounds, marking their return to winning form in the Irish Premiership. The first half saw Jordan Stewart net the opening goal with a close-range header, followed by Kieran Offord extending the lead after a defensive error by Coleraine. Although Matthew Shevlin reduced the deficit in the second half, Kyle McClelland’s subsequent red card allowed Declan Caddell’s team to maintain their advantage and secure the win. However, their prospects of securing an equaliser diminished minutes later when McClelland received a second yellow card from referee Declan Hassan following an entanglement with Offord. Johnny Tuffey thwarted Coleraine’s attempt at a late equaliser, parrying away substitute Kyle Spence’s powerful angled shot, as the Crues secured their third consecutive 2-1 victory against Dean Shiels’ team.
