Former Premier League striker Chris Sutton has observed that Chelsea is exhibiting “a method to their madness” under Enzo Maresca, with the team currently positioned second in the table and having scored the most goals this season. Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live’s Monday Night Club, Sutton remarked: “While we were all putting the boot in, Chelsea knew what they were doing.” He then contrasted the club’s recent seasons with the Roman Abramovich era, pointing out that while Abramovich acquired players who had “already been there and done it,” Chelsea is now focused on recruiting younger players for development. Sutton described the current squad as “young and pretty fearless,” concluding with commendation for both Enzo Maresca and Chelsea.
