Burnley, under the management of Scott Parker, are scheduled to compete against Sheffield United, Middlesbrough, and Stoke during the Christmas period. Burnley’s head coach, Scott Parker, has confirmed that his team’s players and staff will be separated from their families on Christmas night. This measure is part of their preparations for their significant match on 26 December, an away game against Championship leaders Sheffield United, which is a top-of-the-table clash. The Clarets, like numerous other English Football League (EFL) clubs, are set to navigate a demanding festive schedule comprising four matches within 12 days. Their busy period commences with a home fixture against Watford, a team currently vying for a play-off spot, this Saturday. “We get used to the Christmas period with how busy it is and it’s [football] a large part of everyone’s Christmas,” Parker communicated to BBC Radio Lancashire. He further stated, “We’ll train Christmas Day and overnight Christmas night as we have an away game at Sheffield United on Boxing Day.” Burnley currently occupies the third position in the Championship standings, trailing second-placed Leeds United by a single point. Their holiday fixtures also include an away trip to Middlesbrough and a home encounter with Stoke City. Parker concluded, “I’m fully aware of Christmas and the time it brings for everyone around their families and we’ll try to manage that, but fundamentally with the games we’ve got we need to prepare and crack on.”
