Wrexham’s manager, Phil Parkinson, stated that Matt Taylor’s departure from his role as Bristol Rovers boss introduces “a bit of unpredictability” for their League One fixture scheduled for Saturday. Taylor’s dismissal occurred earlier this week, following the Pirates’ loss to Birmingham, a result that positioned the club two points clear of the League One relegation zone. Parkinson commented, “I know Matt and I feel sorry for him losing his job.” He further added, “He’s a good manager and a really good guy so I was so disappointed for him.” Regarding the upcoming match, Parkinson noted, “There’s talk of a manager possibly being appointed by the weekend so that creates an unpredictability in terms of how they’re going to line up personnel wise.” Bristol Rovers’ recent defeat against Birmingham marked their third consecutive league loss, and their goal difference stands at -11, which is the lowest in the division apart from the four teams currently in the relegation zone. Parkinson concluded, stating, “We’re not sure how they are going to set up, but let’s concentrate on ourselves and what we need to do.” He continued, “You have to be at the races every game to get the result like we have been the majority of the season.”
