Brighton captain Lewis Dunk spoke to Amazon Prime, expressing his belief that he was fouled by Issa Diop during the play leading to Fulham’s second goal. He stated: “It was a foul. It was the same as the one on the halfway line and in the box. I jumped for the header and he put his hands in my back. How he, the ref, or VAR can’t see it? But it is what it is.” Dunk further elaborated on the incident, adding: “It was clear. It’s annoying and if you watch the replay it’s a clear foul and a push in my back.” The captain also commented on the match’s outcome, saying: “I don’t think the scoreline reflects the game. We picked ourselves up and I thought we were the better team but that’s football. It baffles me sometimes how we have some people watching on a screen and they can’t get the decision right.” Looking ahead, Dunk concluded: “With the game on Sunday, we can bounce straight back. We need to recover.”
