Sheffield United striker Rhian Brewster dedicated the goal he scored during his team’s victory against Millwall to his younger cousin, who passed away just before the Blades’ journey to The Den. Brewster was observed pointing to the sky in celebration after netting the goal. The 24-year-old player achieved his first goal in over two years during this win, a result that propelled the Blades back to the leading position in the Championship. After Sheffield United’s 1-0 triumph, Brewster honored Kaylen Dennis, a player for the non-league team Walthamstow. Speaking to BBC Radio Sheffield, Brewster stated: “I want to dedicate that goal to my younger cousin. He passed away earlier today before the game, so that’s one for him and the family.” He further added: “It was a very tough time [for the family], but I played for him today, and I was very happy to come away with a goal, and that’s for him.” Brewster concluded by saying: “It’s bittersweet as it happened back in London, so that one was definitely for him.”
