Brentford manager Thomas Frank has stated that Chelsea is “maybe the best team in the Premier League right now,” noting that Chelsea’s Cole Palmer has contributed to a league-leading 38 goals in 2024. Enzo Maresca, who took over from Mauricio Pochettino in June, has guided the Blues to a streak of six consecutive victories across all competitions ahead of their Sunday match against Frank’s Brentford at Stamford Bridge. Following four consecutive league victories, Chelsea currently sits second in the table, trailing leaders Liverpool by four points. Frank commented, “They are maybe even more in-form than Liverpool, even though they are top of the league.” He added, “They are playing incredible football and are well-coached. Maresca has done a top job so far with his coaching staff and they look extremely dangerous.” Chelsea, who are the Premier League’s top scorers, secured a 4-3 victory at Tottenham, followed by a 3-1 win against Astana in the Europa Conference League on Thursday. Maresca’s team has scored 15 goals in their last four matches across all competitions. Brentford occupies ninth place in the league standings after defeating Newcastle 4-2 last weekend. While the Bees have demonstrated strong performance at home this season, they have only managed to secure one point from a possible 21 in away fixtures. Nevertheless, Brentford holds a favorable record at Stamford Bridge, having won all three of their Premier League matches played at the venue. Frank stated, “[Chelsea] have so many threats going forward and have top-quality players all over the pitch. I expect an unbelievably difficult game.” He concluded, “They are massive favourites but, of course, we believe that we can compete against anyone and we believe we can win.” Post navigation New Look for Middlesbrough Club Page 2025 Tour de France to Feature Entirely French Route for First Time Since 2020
