Bournemouth has announced a dual injury setback, confirming that defender Marcos Senesi and midfielder Marcus Tavernier will both be sidelined. Senesi underwent surgery for a quadriceps problem sustained during the victory against Wolves on November 30. His teammate, Tavernier, is also expected to be unavailable for “an extended period” following a hamstring injury acquired at Ipswich on Sunday. Bournemouth released a statement conveying: “We send our best wishes to both players in their recovery, and we hope to see them playing again soon.” The Cherries currently hold the eighth position in the Premier League standings, a result of three consecutive victories, including a 1-0 win over Tottenham last week.
