The Belfast Giants have established a new hall of fame at the SSE Arena, an initiative that forms part of their ongoing 25th anniversary commemorations. Mark Morrison, Jason Bowen, and Bob Zeller are among the initial individuals to be inducted. This new recognition program was introduced on Wednesday night, prior to the Giants’ 7-1 victory against the Dundee Stars. Its purpose is to acknowledge individuals who have made substantial contributions to the club, both on and off the ice, since its establishment in 2000. The inaugural class of inductees includes Bob Zeller and Albert Maasland, who were co-founders and previous owners of the team. Additionally, their inaugural head coach, David Whistle, along with former players Jason Bowen and Mark Morrison, received recognition. A plaque inscribed with each inductee’s name will be displayed within the arena, and additional members are slated for inclusion annually. Martin McDowell, chair of The Odyssey Trust, commented on the occasion, stating: “We’re proud to have introduced the Belfast Giants hall of fame as we celebrate our 25th season. “This initiative honours the achievements and dedication of those who have defined our club’s legacy throughout the years, and that legacy extends far beyond what happens on the ice.”Our first five inductees represent the spirit, resilience, and commitment that have shaped the Giants. Their contributions, both on and off the ice, have earned them this well deserved recognition, and it’s a privilege to officially commemorate their impact in this way.” Post navigation Leeds United Defender Pascal Struijk Outlines Strategy for Plymouth Clash Key Statistics from Newcastle’s 4-0 Victory
