The Red Alert team discussed Middlesbrough’s commanding 5-1 win over Luton Town, joined by midfielder Finn Azaz and manager Michael Carrick. Middlesbrough delivered an exceptional performance on Saturday, defeating Luton Town 5-1. Midfielder Finn Azaz suggested that consistency has been instrumental in Boro’s improved run of form. Azaz, who scored twice during the match, shared his thoughts on the Red Alert podcast: “I think goals have been coming. It’s really important to back up a win. The results have picked up and I think we can take loads of confidence. Win game after game, hopefully. We try to be consistent with our performances and I believe we’ve been doing that.” For his brace, Azaz shared credit with teammate Ben Doak. The Liverpool loanee provided the assist for Delano Burgzorg’s opening goal and also for the first of Azaz’s two goals. Azaz remarked, “I speak to Doaky all the time. He’s obviously flying down that right hand side and I tell him ‘be aware I’m going to be there for the cutback’. I’ll give him his props, it was a really good assist.” He continued, praising Doak’s qualities: “He’s outstanding as a character. Obviously on the pitch, he doesn’t care who he’s up against, isn’t fazed by anything. It’s a pleasure to play with him and seeing him grow out there.” The full episode can be heard on BBC Sounds.
