Aston Villa’s attacking midfielder, Morgan Rogers, has signed a contract extension with the Midlands team, committing him to the club until 2030. This follows his recent appearances as a substitute for England in victories against Greece and the Republic of Ireland last week. The 22-year-old player transferred to Villa from Middlesbrough in January 2024. The agreement for his acquisition was valued at £8 million, with an additional £7 million possible through add-ons. Rogers contributed to Villa’s fourth-place finish in the Premier League last season and has established himself as a consistent presence in Unai Emery’s squad this current season. This season, Rogers has recorded three goals and three assists across 15 appearances for Villa. He also featured in the starting lineup for Champions League victories over Bayern Munich, Young Boys, and Bologna. His performance led to an England call-up, culminating in his international debut as a substitute during the 3-0 Nations League triumph against Greece on Thursday.
