AS Roma has dismissed head coach Ivan Juric, making him the eighth manager for the club in the last 10 seasons. This decision follows the team’s 3-2 home loss to Bologna on Sunday, and the club is now seeking its third manager for the current season. The 49-year-old Croatian, Juric, took on the role in September, succeeding Daniele de Rossi. De Rossi had managed the team for only eight months after Jose Mourinho’s departure. Juric, who previously managed Torino and Hellas Verona, oversaw 12 matches during his tenure, achieving four wins and suffering five defeats. Roma’s owners, The Friedkin Group, who are currently engaged in discussions to acquire Everton, issued a statement regarding the change: “We would like to thank Ivan Juric for his hard work these past weeks. He handled a difficult environment with the utmost professionalism, and for that we are grateful. The search for a new head coach has already begun and we expect an announcement in the coming days.” According to various reports, Roberto Mancini, formerly the manager of Italy and Manchester City, is considered a leading candidate for the position, having recently departed his role as head coach of Saudi Arabia. Currently, Roma holds the 12th position in Serie A. In the Europa League, the team is ranked 20th, maintaining a one-point lead over the elimination zone.
