Aidan Heslop, who represented Wales at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, has become the youngest diver to win the Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series, securing the title at 22 years of age. The Plymouth-born diver, who had previously finished as runner-up twice, clinched the overall victory by placing fifth in the final event held in Australia. Heslop concluded the eight-stage competition with a total of 113 points, establishing a 16-point lead over America’s James Lichtenstien, who secured second place. The Red Bull Cliff Diving World Series features divers competing from a platform positioned 27 meters (88 feet) high. Each diver’s performance is scored across four different dives, with the competitor achieving the highest collective score being declared the winner of each stage. In 2024, Heslop triumphed in four of the eight stages, securing wins in the United States, Canada, Turkey, and Northern Ireland.
