Following Liverpool’s recent victory, forward Mohamed Salah shared his thoughts with Sky Sports, stating: “We were quite good up front, but defensively we need to improve as a team. Conceding three goals is quite hard.” He added, “It is a good result, hopefully we just keep going.” Addressing the challenge of facing the Spurs team, Salah remarked: “We expected that [a chaotic game]. The way they play, they open the game, they enjoy their football, they are physically tough so mentally we always have to be in the game.” He further noted their consistent, high-intensity style: “They don’t change much in the way they play, it is intense. Manchester City came here and struggled, other teams too.” Salah concluded this point by saying, “I’m happy we won because they play an intense game.” Regarding his achievement as the first player ever to reach 10 goals and 10 assists in the Premier League prior to Christmas, Salah commented: “I didn’t think about it before the game, but I’m glad I have done it. It is something that makes me proud, I’ll keep working hard.” Pertaining to his new status as Liverpool’s fourth all-time leading goalscorer, he stated: “It is great to achieve that at such a big club but the most important thing is that we won the game. Wherever I am going to end my career, I am happy about it.” When questioned about any developments concerning his future, he provided a concise response: “No.”
