Goalkeeper Jose Sa was involved in an altercation with a fan at half-time during Wolves’ 4-2 loss to Bournemouth. Wolves had entered this match following an unbeaten streak of four games, including their most significant victory of the season, a 4-1 success against Fulham achieved a week prior. However, this positive momentum was abruptly halted by a notably poor performance, culminating in a 4-2 home defeat to Bournemouth. The match proved particularly challenging for home goalkeeper Jose Sa, who conceded two of the three penalties awarded. All three penalties were successfully converted by Justin Kluivert, making him the first player since the 1950s to achieve a hat-trick of penalties in an English top-flight game. Furthermore, Sa was implicated in an unpleasant confrontation with a home supporter at half-time, an incident that resulted in two fans being ejected from the stand by stewards. This outcome caused Gary O’Neil’s team to fall back into the relegation zone, intensifying the pressure on the manager. The team was booed off the pitch at the final whistle. Additionally, some supporters participated in taunting chants directed at O’Neil, which had originated from Bournemouth fans – the club O’Neil previously managed.
