Newtown, a club competing in the Cymru Premier, has announced the departure of Scott Ruscoe from his position as manager. Ruscoe previously achieved the Cymru Premier title nine times as a player for The New Saints. Ruscoe, a former player for the Robins, took over from Chris Hughes in January. Nevertheless, Newtown has faced challenges this season, currently ranking ninth in the Welsh top flight with only five wins recorded in 15 league games thus far. Callum Mackenzie will assume interim responsibility for the first team, beginning with their away match against Aberystwyth on Friday. A statement from Newtown conveyed: “We would like to thank Scott for all of his hard work and dedication during his time at the club, and wish him all the very best for the future.”
