Gallagher Commends Dundee United’s Response to Challenging Pre-Match Conditions

Declan Gallagher expressed pride in Dundee United’s performance, given the challenging pre-match circumstances, during their 1-1 draw against Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday. The team, managed by Jim Goodwin, encountered traffic issues on Saturday morning en route to Ibrox, which led to a delay in the scheduled 15:00 kick-off. Speaking to DUTV, Gallagher stated, “With preparations, with the accidents on the road, we were obviously on the bus for a lot longer than we would want to be.” He further elaborated on the impact, adding, “Obviously pre-match and stuff is disturbed and then kick-off times so I think there was a lot preparation wise that didn’t go our way.” Despite these setbacks, Gallagher highlighted the team’s resolve: “But I think that the character of the boys in this changing room showed on the park, they never let it affect them.” He concluded by praising their immediate readiness and overall display, saying, “And they were right up for it right from the [first] whistle.“ He also commented, “I think [the performance] was excellent. Each player to a man was superb.”
