Maresca Reflects on Goalless Draw

Enzo Maresca, the manager of Chelsea, shared his comments with Match of the Day regarding the recent goalless draw. He stated: “That was a real game. I am very happy because the performance of the boys was fantastic. Sometimes you have to play a different game, and we are learning to play a different game.” Maresca further noted about the opposing team, “They are one of the best teams in Europe in terms of clean sheets.” He conveyed his satisfaction to his players, remarking, “I said to the players that I was more happy than [last week’s] game at Brentford [where Chelsea won 2-1].” Concluding his remarks, he added: “We tried everything.
