Teenage Striker Luke Skinner Inks First Professional Contract with Bristol City

Bristol City’s teenage striker, Luke Skinner, has officially signed his inaugural professional contract, coinciding with his 17th birthday. The forward, a member of the club since he was six years old, has committed to a deal extending until the summer of 2027. In 2023, Skinner was recognized as the academy’s Schoolboy of the Year, following an outstanding season with the under-15s where he netted 31 goals and provided 11 assists. During the previous season, he scored over 40 goals across various age categories, culminating in his under-21s debut in August, at which point he was still 16 years old. Brian Tinnion, Bristol City’s technical director, commented on the club’s website, stating: “We’re delighted for Luke and excited to see how he develops.” He added, “He’s one that’s been with us from a young age and continued to perform at a high level as he’s progressed through the age groups.”
