Tim Walter, the head coach for Hull City, expressed confidence in receiving complete support from owner Acun Ilicali, an assurance that followed a discussion held during the recent international break. Prior to Saturday’s Championship match against Luton Town, Walter affirmed his continued sense of security in his position. This statement came after Ilicali had publicly provided an explanation for the club’s sluggish start to the season to supporters via the Hull Daily Mail. Speaking to BBC Radio Humberside, Walter remarked, “I know because we have a really good relationship, so, for your side [the media] it may be new but for my side its not new.” He further added, “We talked all the time about long-term [ambitions] but if you believe him more than me then that’s also OK, because he’s the owner then that’s fine for me.” Walter concluded, “I’m very confident, I’m very happy about this.” Walter has faced examination from certain segments of the fanbase due to a sequence of results where the team has not secured a victory in their last seven league fixtures, leading to a drop to 19th place. In comparison, after 15 games last season, under the management of Liam Rosenior, the Tigers occupied ninth position and had accumulated eight more points than their current total. Walter commented, “You need something to write, something to report to the fans, to the others and for me.” He continued, “I’m happy to have a game this week on Saturday and have an upcoming week where we’re playing a lot of games and show where we have improved ourselves.” Ilicali, who is a media mogul in his native Turkey, had previously clarified this week that significant player injuries contributed to the team’s subpar performance. Nevertheless, Walter maintains that assuming accountability will be crucial for his team to reverse their present situation. He also expressed encouragement from the information that midfielders Steven Alzate and Marvin Mehlem have rejoined first-team training, and winger Abu Kamara is expected to be included in the squad for the Luton match. Walter further stated, “I have to adapt every day, I can adapt every day and I try to improve myself.” He concluded his remarks by saying, “It’s always about looking in the mirror and seeing your own face and that’s important that you look on the left, and on the right, but at the end, you have to look straight.” Post navigation Fiji Defeat Extends Wales’ Losing Streak to Record 10 Matches Northampton Saints Finalize Multi-Year Contract with 19-Year-Old Back-Row Henry Pollock
