Swansea City’s head coach, Luke Williams, described his meeting with Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen as “very positive” following the visit of two principal figures in the club’s recent takeover to the Championship team. Cravatt and Cohen, along with club chairman and fellow American businessman Andy Coleman, acquired a 77.41% ownership stake in Swansea after the ownership change that occurred last month. Cravatt and Cohen were present at last weekend’s match against Sunderland, accompanied by Keith English, another American individual identified as a minor investor. Swansea head coach Williams stated, “Three of them came to visit us at the training ground and came to the game. I have met Brett before but with Keith and Jason it was the first time. It was good to meet them. They had lots of energy and are very astute guys who have been very successful. It was very positive.” Last month, Coleman indicated that the “momentous” ownership transition at Swansea was expected to inject over £20 million into the club. Cohen, who is a business associate of Cravatt, was appointed to the Swansea board, alongside three additional American investors: Tyler Morse, George Popstefanov, and Chris Sznewajs. This acquisition concluded the eight-year tenure of Jason Levien and Steve Kaplan as Swansea’s majority owners. Williams has reaffirmed his optimism regarding the club’s future outlook under the new leadership. He further commented, “We had a chance to sit down and have more of a chat. There was a lot of energy and a lot of excitement about the club. That’s really good, to meet people who seem to be genuinely engaged, people who have been successful and who know the challenges that come with that.”
