Caroline Weir has stated that Scotland’s team is “determined” to deliver a strong performance against Finland next month. The Scots secured their place in the Euro 2025 play-off final following a 4-0 victory over Hungary, resulting in a 5-0 aggregate score. Their opponents, Finland, advanced to the final after defeating Montenegro with an aggregate score of 6-0. The two-legged play-off is scheduled to begin at Easter Road on 27 November, with the away leg in Finland set for 3 December. Following the win at Easter Road, Weir expressed her pride, saying, “I’m really proud of the team.” She added, “The players gave it everything.” Weir also commented on the team’s development, stating, “I’ve watched the team over the last 12 months and it’s been amazing to see the progress they’ve made” and praised the match atmosphere, noting, “Tonight the atmosphere was amazing, and I’m really proud of this performance.” Weir described the upcoming matches as “Two cup finals now, isn’t it.
