Aberdeen Football Club is celebrating a double award success, as Jimmy Thelin has been designated Premiership manager of the month for October, and Nicky Devlin has secured the player prize. Thelin, a Swedish national, guided the Dons to victories over Hearts, Dundee United, and Rangers in October, alongside securing a 2-2 draw at Celtic Park. These results maintained his team’s unbeaten league record for the month, placing them just behind the league leaders on goal difference. The Swede, who previously earned the manager of the month accolade in August, shares this recognition with right-back Devlin, whose performance has been a key highlight in Aberdeen’s impressive start to the season. Devlin, aged 31, contributed goals in the Pittodrie triumphs against Hearts and Rangers, bringing his season’s total to four goals. His exceptional form also led to his inaugural call-up for Scotland and his debut in the Nations League match, which ended in a draw with Portugal.
