Rangers manager Philippe Clement shared his assessment after the team’s 1-0 win against Hearts. He expressed strong satisfaction with the outcome, stating, “I’m very satisfied with the result and the deserved three points.” Clement highlighted the team’s performance in the initial half, noting, “Our first half was good in many moments, we scored a very good goal.” He also conveyed a desire for the team to be more decisive in securing a lead, adding, “We missed scoring the second goal, though and we know that until you get that goal the other team stays in the game, so I want us to kill the belief of the opponent faster.” The manager acknowledged a decline in quality during the second half, observing, “We didn’t show the same quality in the second half and we didn’t finish off the game. We had a few chances, but it stays nervous until the last second in the stands.” He attributed some of the team’s errors to a demanding schedule, explaining, “We made too many wrong chances with the ball and became too sloppy. It’s the end of a very busy period though, with a lot of travelling and they’re all human beings, not robots.” Clement also mentioned the presence of young players while stressing the need for improved game management, stating, “We need to manage the game better, but, we have young players.” He concluded by dismissing any notion that competing in multiple competitions is an excuse, asserting, “I don’t want to hear from anyone that playing in four competitions is tough, players don’t come here just to play in the league.”
