British YouTuber Yung Filly has admitted guilt to a charge of reckless driving in Australia. This admission comes while he is out on bail concerning separate rape allegations. Andrés Felipe Valencia Barrientos, 29, known as Yung Filly, confessed to exceeding the speed limit by nearly 60km/h (37mph) on a highway in Perth during the previous month. He has not yet entered a plea regarding eight sexual assault charges. These charges stem from allegations that he assaulted a woman in his Perth hotel room following a nightclub performance in September. Barrientos is primarily recognized for his involvement with the YouTube group Beta Squad and has also hosted programs on BBC Three. Barrientos made an appearance in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday. His legal representative stated that her client intended to plead guilty to the driving infraction, which led to the impoundment of his vehicle. The proceedings have been postponed until January 30, when they will be heard concurrently with Barrientos’ additional charges. These include four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of choking. The rapper was touring Australia for musical performances when the alleged rape incident took place. His current bail terms prohibit him from departing the state of Western Australia and from discussing the case on social media platforms. Barrientos is a well-known media personality in the UK, having received a Mobo Award for best media personality in 2021. He has also featured on ITV’s Soccer Aid and Channel 4’s Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer.
