An 18-year-old female is currently hospitalized with severe injuries sustained during what appears to be a hit-and-run collision while she was crossing a street. According to Hertfordshire Police, the young woman was traversing Gammons Lane, specifically at its intersection with Ashby Road in Watford, around 19:00 GMT on Monday. The police stated that the vehicle involved, believed to be a white Transit-style van equipped with ladders on its roof, “failed to stop” after the incident. Sgt Matt O’Neill, the officer leading the investigation, commented: “We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision and who has not yet spoken to police, or anyone who has any information which could help the investigation.” He indicated that individuals could contact him via direct email, through an online platform, or by telephone.
