Authorities are actively seeking an XL bully dog involved in an incident where it attacked a woman and caused the death of her dog during a walk. According to Lancashire Police, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Alfie and its owner were assailed on Wednesday along the Seat Naze walking path, situated off Burnley Road East in Waterfoot. The police force reported that Alfie subsequently succumbed to his injuries, while his owner sustained a hand injury described as non-serious. Lancashire Police indicated that the XL bully and its owner departed the location, but a 29-year-old man from Rossendale was apprehended on Sunday under suspicion of permitting a dog to be dangerously out of control. The dog remains unfound by officers. Law enforcement officials have issued an appeal for any information that could assist in locating the XL bully. A spokesperson for the force stated: “For immediate sightings of the dog call 999.”
