Wycombe Wanderers manager Matt Bloomfield has denied any contact with Coventry City, amidst rising speculation regarding who will take over from Mark Robins as the Sky Blues’ manager. Bloomfield, who previously moved from Colchester to succeed Gareth Ainsworth as Wycombe boss, currently sees his team, the Chairboys, leading League One by two points following their 1-0 away victory against Wigan Athletic. When asked about reports connecting him to the Coventry role, Bloomfield told BBC Three Counties Radio: “I’ve not heard anything from my club, I’ve not heard anything about that. “It’s just speculation as far as I’m concerned. But it’s lovely to be linked with jobs higher up the food chain because it shows that the job you’re doing is the right one.” He further added, “But it’s all about the players. If they aren’t performing on the pitch, you get linked with leaving the job for the wrong reasons. If they are performing on the pitch, like the boys are, you get linked the other way.” Post navigation Celtic Defender Carter-Vickers Emphasizes Importance of Upcoming Champions League Home Fixtures Monza Secures Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix Until 2031
