Hemsby Lifeboat, located near Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, reported being called to Oulton Dyke, close to Lowestoft, Suffolk, at approximately 21:00 GMT on Friday. An official statement from the independent lifeboat service indicated that its crew members “quickly found the individual” and transported her across the river to a designated rendezvous point. The woman was subsequently taken to a hospital for a medical examination. Gorleston Coastguard, the police, and the ambulance service were also dispatched to the scene.
