A woman in her 50s has died after being involved in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle (HGV). Authorities are seeking witnesses following the incident, which took place in Kendal, Cumbria, on Thursday. Emergency services were summoned to Burton Road just after 16:00 GMT, and the woman was pronounced deceased at the location. Cumbria Constabulary stated its interest in speaking with the driver of a black Mini, describing them as a “witness who was directly behind the HGV at the time of the collision”. The road was shut down for multiple hours, specifically from the area near Westmorland General Hospital and the road leading to Oxenholme, to the roundabout situated by the town’s Asda store.
