Woman Dies Following Pedestrian-Vehicle Collision, Police Appeal for Witnesses

Authorities have confirmed the death of a woman in her 60s following a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. The incident occurred on Palmerston Road in Buckhurst Hill shortly after 07:30 GMT, prompting Essex Police to issue an appeal for witnesses and any available dashcam footage. Palmerston Road was temporarily closed between Victoria Road and Westbury Lane to allow emergency services to attend the scene. The thoroughfare has since been reopened to traffic. According to a police spokesperson, “Despite the best efforts of paramedics, a woman in her 60s died at the scene.”
