A female individual has passed away subsequent to a residential blaze in West Yorkshire. Emergency services, including law enforcement and firefighters, were dispatched to a property on Regina Crescent in Havercroft, Wakefield, at approximately 17:45 GMT on Monday, following reports of a woman being confined inside. She was extricated from the premises and received medical attention for her injuries on-site, but died a short time later. West Yorkshire Police announced that an inquiry into the origin of the fire is currently in progress, though it is not believed to be suspicious. A spokesperson for the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service stated: “Crews from South Kirkby, Wakefield and Pontefract used breathing apparatus and hose reels to rescue one female occupant from the house, who was passed to the care of ambulance colleagues. Our fire investigation team remain at the scene today.”
