A 57-year-old woman has passed away after being struck by a vehicle in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire. The collision, which involved a black Vauxhall Corsa, occurred on Brambling Road around 17:20 on Saturday. She was transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where she subsequently died. The individual driving the Corsa sustained no injuries. Brambling Road remained shut for approximately seven hours as inquiries were conducted. Sgt Gemma Blackadder said: “Inquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with information that could assist to please get in touch.” “I would also urge anyone in the area with dashcam or ring doorbell to check their footage and pass anything of note on to us.”
