Woman Charged After Suspicious Death in North Lanarkshire Flat

A 47-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with attempted murder and assault in connection with the death of a man at a residence in North Lanarkshire. The body of James McMaster, 53, was discovered after officers were called to Maxton Crescent in Wishaw around 14:10 on 5 December. The death was classified as suspicious after a post-mortem examination indicated he had been the victim of an attack. This follows the charging of a 50-year-old man last week, who was also charged over a serious assault in connection with the fatality. The woman is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
