Woman Arrested Following ‘Serious’ A65 Collision

A woman has been apprehended subsequent to a “serious” collision involving two vehicles on the A65. North Yorkshire Police stated that officers were dispatched to reports of a crash in Long Preston at approximately 16:40 GMT on Thursday. The woman, identified as the driver of one of the vehicles, was taken into custody on suspicion of failing to provide a roadside breath test. The route was also shut down in both directions while emergency personnel responded to the incident. The police force has not released any additional information concerning the crash.
