Police have reported that a collision involving three vehicles near Wadebridge resulted in a woman suffering potentially life-altering injuries and a teenager sustaining serious harm. Devon and Cornwall Police specified that the incident, which occurred on the A389 close to St Issey around 08:25 GMT on Tuesday, involved a Mercedes car, a light goods vehicle (LGV), and a second LGV whose identity remains unknown. Authorities confirmed that the Mercedes driver, a woman in her 30s, was transported to a hospital. The young girl, a passenger in the same vehicle, was initially taken to Royal Hospital Cornwall before being transferred to Bristol Children’s Hospital. Law enforcement reported that the operator of the unidentified white LGV departed the location prior to the arrival of emergency personnel. The police also stated that two additional children in the car suffered minor injuries, alongside the individual driving the white Isuzu. Investigating officers have issued a public appeal for any witnesses to provide information.
