A 60-year-old woman, Carol-Anne Rimini, has died following a two-vehicle collision on the A6 Wilstead Hill, near Haynes, Bedford. Ms. Rimini, described by her family as a “cherished” mother and grandmother, was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in the crash, which occurred around 17:00 GMT on Saturday. Ms. Rimini, a resident of St Neots in Cambridgeshire who lived in Eaton Socon, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Several other individuals sustained minor injuries in the incident. Bedfordshire Police reported that Ms. Rimini was a passenger in a red MG ZS that collided with a Volkswagen Transporter between 17:00 and 17:20. Her family, in a statement released via Bedfordshire Police, indicated she would be remembered for her “warmth, strength and generosity”. The family’s statement expressed their deep grief, stating: “The whole family is deeply saddened by this heart-breaking, tragic event”. They further added: “My mum was a well-loved mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and cherished member of the community, remembered for her warmth, strength, and generosity. Carol will be missed deeply by everyone that knew her.” Police have issued an appeal for any witnesses who were traveling along the A6 and observed the collision, or who may possess dashcam footage, to come forward and assist with their investigation.
