Residents of Wolverhampton are invited to provide feedback on the city council’s updated proposals for the regeneration, development, and investment within the city over the coming two decades. An initial public consultation was conducted earlier this year to gather input on the original proposals. The council has since revised the plan, incorporating the feedback received, and is now soliciting further public opinion before submitting the final document to the government. This plan outlines the city’s vision through to 2042. The deadline for participation in this consultation process is 9 January. The council stated its objective is to receive feedback regarding the “soundness” of the plan, specifically addressing whether it comprehensively covers all necessary aspects and if its implementation is feasible. Individuals can participate via the council’s official website or by attending one of three in-person drop-in events. These events are scheduled for the Civic Centre on 4 December and the central library on 5 and 7 December. The council’s goal is to formally adopt the Local Plan by mid-2026.
