Residents are invited to provide their perspectives on the services offered by local pharmacies in Wolverhampton through a new survey. The council aims to gather feedback from customers regarding the types of services they currently use and those they might wish to access, in order to influence the future provision of pharmacy services. This initiative forms part of the authority’s ongoing update to the city’s Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment. This assessment details the current range of pharmacy offerings in Wolverhampton and identifies any potential service gaps. The survey is accessible on the council’s website and will remain open for submissions until 12 January. Jasbir Jaspal, the City of Wolverhampton Council cabinet member for adults and wellbeing, commented that this effort would help evaluate whether local pharmacies adequately meet community needs and assist the authority in shaping future service delivery. She further explained that these establishments provide a variety of health-enhancing services beyond the secure dispensing of medications, serving as a vital component in addressing the health requirements of the area’s population. “We want to understand how people are using them, in terms of what they use them for, what time of day they use them, whether they are accessible and so on – as well as what more they could offer.”
