Police report that individuals involved in a theft utilized a wheelie bin to transport a substantial quantity of alcohol taken from a Highland football club. Clachnacuddin FC’s Grant Street Park in Inverness experienced a break-in on Sunday, occurring between 03:00 and 04:00. Officers indicated that three males were observed approaching the stadium, subsequently returning to an adjacent street. Following this, two of the individuals were observed “struggling” with large bags, while a third person was seen pulling the bin. The alcoholic beverages were removed from the lounge of the Highland League club. A spokesperson for the force stated: “Following the break-in, shortly before 04:00, the males returned along Kilmuir Road in possession of bags which they were struggling to carry. “One of the suspects is known to have used a wheelie bin to carry items from Benula Road onto Telford Road.” Investigators have appealed to the public for any information or relevant dashcam or CCTV footage.
