Residents in Weymouth have embraced the holiday spirit with an elf parade, held in anticipation of the town’s Christmas lights illumination. Hundreds of individuals in festive costumes gathered in the town centre on Saturday for the celebrations, which have become a yearly tradition. The parade was one component of a day filled with elf-themed entertainment, which included activities such as face painting, gingerbread decorating, and hat-making workshops. A live music stage provided entertainment throughout the day, preceding the Christmas lights switch-on scheduled for 17:00 GMT. You can follow BBC Dorset on Facebook, X (Twitter), or Instagram.
