A Welsh rugby player and three other individuals have been acquitted of charges concerning the robbery of luxury watches. Luke Davies, the 22-year-old Ospreys’ scrum-half, alongside Adam Thomas, Jake Ball, and Jordan Ball, had all denied involvement in the theft of four watches, collectively valued at £1,800, from a residence in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, on Christmas Eve 2021. Ieuan Rhys, representing the prosecution, confirmed that the case had undergone a review, and the prosecution would formally offer no evidence against the defendants. Subsequently, Judge Geraint Walters directed not guilty verdicts for the four men, informing them they were free to depart.
