A police force reported that a driver encountered difficulty, described as being “a little out of their depth,” when attempting to traverse a ford that had become flooded. The Essex County Fire & Rescue Service received a call regarding a vehicle submerged in water at Buttsbury Wash, situated close to Billericay, on Sunday at 15:46 GMT. Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered that four individuals had already exited the car, and no injuries were reported. An Essex Police spokesperson stated, “The driver of this car found themselves a little out of their depth whilst trying to cross a ford that is normally not a problem for their vehicle.” The spokesperson added, “River water levels can significantly increase following high amounts of rain,” and advised, “Please take extra care if you need to drive during adverse weather conditions.” Post navigation Dorset’s Daily Image Feature: Tuesday’s County Visual Cyclone Chido Causes Extensive Damage and High Death Toll Concerns in Mayotte
