Former Hammers midfielder Nigel Re-Coker, speaking on the BBC Radio 5 Live Football Daily podcast, expressed cautious optimism, stating, “You hope so,” and adding, “A win is a win.” However, Re-Coker voiced concerns about West Ham’s unpredictable nature, noting, “One thing that worries me about West Ham is that you still don’t know what you are going to get from them each time they play.” He further observed that manager Lopetegui has yet to establish his optimal starting eleven, and deficiencies persist in the team’s execution.
