A man and a woman have been admitted to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car. West Midlands Police reported that the incident occurred shortly before 13:00 GMT at the junction of Bristol Road and Frankley Beeches Road in Northfield, Birmingham. A male suspect has been taken into custody on suspicion of dangerous driving and is scheduled for questioning, the police force confirmed. The West Midlands Ambulance Service stated that the pair were conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for further medical attention.
