Two men were transported to a hospital after sustaining injuries during a street assault in Grimsby. Humberside Police reported that emergency services were dispatched to Sixhills Street at 15:30 GMT on Tuesday, following accounts that the two men had reportedly been assaulted subsequent to an altercation. One of the injured men, aged 33, was found to have slash wounds to his leg and injuries to his hand. The other injured individual was 30 years old. The force further indicated that three men are believed to have fled the location in a vehicle before the arrival of officers. A police cordon was established in the area while officers conducted inquiries to ascertain the circumstances of the incident. Detective Inspector Jayne Coutts stated: “Understandably, given the nature of this incident, it will be concerning to the local community.” She added: “However, as part of our inquiries carried out so far, we do believe this to be an incident between people known to each other.” Anyone who was in the vicinity at the time of the event or possesses any CCTV or dashcam footage that could aid with inquiries is urged to contact Humberside Police.
