Following an incident where a learner driver and their passenger sustained punches to the head, two men have been taken into custody and subsequently released on bail. Northamptonshire Police are requesting witness accounts and dashcam recordings pertaining to the event, which occurred on the A4500 at the Turnpike junction, close to Harpole. Law enforcement officials stated the occurrence took place on November 22nd, between 16:00 and 17:00 GMT. According to police reports, the confrontation involved individuals from a grey Vauxhall Vivaro van and a blue Volkswagen Polo, identified by its L plates. The police force indicated that the teenage learner driver suffered a punch to the head, resulting in a concussion and a significant facial injury necessitating stitches. The passenger in the Polo vehicle was repeatedly struck on the back of the head. Two men, aged 41 and 20, both residents of Daventry, were apprehended concerning the assaults and have since been released on police bail as investigations continue.
