The West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFRS) stated that they received a call concerning a fire on Derek Road, Lancing, at 8:56 GMT on Monday. Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service also responded to the event, assessing two people who were then conveyed to Worthing Hospital for additional medical evaluations. A spokesperson for WSFRS reported that crews discovered a fire on the ground floor of the property and successfully extinguished the flames utilizing two high-pressure hose reels. WSFRS added, “Firefighters administered oxygen therapy to one dog.” Three fire engines were dispatched to the incident, with two originating from Worthing and one from Shoreham. Emergency personnel concluded their operations and departed the scene at 10:17 GMT.
